The data provided through the Cocos Island Geoportal belongs to the institutions and organizations that produced it. This data is protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. Users are responsible for properly acknowledging and citing the source of the data in any derivative work, publication or presentation in which it is used.

Permitted and Prohibited Use

Users may use the geospatial data for a variety of purposes, including research, planning, analysis and education. However, it is prohibited to use this data for illegal activities, unauthorized commercial purposes, or any other use that may cause harm or damage to the institutions that own the data or to third parties.
